Customer portal and admin platform

Client
Socks Expert · SOCKS5 proxy service over mobile networks
Role
Sole designer: UX, UI, information architecture, design system
Monitor on a pale desk with the LTE Socks portal in the light theme: the Proxies section, cards of mobile proxies with port, address, plan and traffic left

The task

The product had gone years without an update: no mobile layout, and navigation nobody could hold in their head.

LTE Socks is a proxy service over mobile networks. In the portal a customer manages their proxies, tops up the account and runs a referral program. I redesigned the customer portal and the admin platform: the structure, the interface and the design system underneath.

Billing

The account is topped up on one screen: the amount, the payment method, and what will be charged is visible straight away.

Payment providers sit side by side as cards: each shows its fee and the total, and the fastest one is marked. Cards and cryptocurrency are two groups, and each can be collapsed.

Monitor with the Billing section of the LTE Socks portal: the top-up amount and payment provider cards with the fee and the total, one marked “Fastest”

Light and dark

The portal has a light and a dark theme, and it is the same portal in both.

Both themes rest on one design system of tokens and variables: the colour changes, the layout and the components do not. The development team adopted that system.

Mobile

There was no mobile layout at all — now the whole portal works on a phone.

The same sections as on desktop: proxies, billing, the referral program, statistics and logs. Navigation moved to the bottom, under the thumb.

Admin platform

The other half of the product is the platform where the service team manages its customers.

The client list shows status, proxies, traffic left and balance, and the card beside it shows everything about one client without leaving the page. The admin platform is built on the same design system as the portal.

The result

The development team built the product on this design system and keeps working with it.

The product is live at my.ltesocks.io.
